DIRECTING PORTFOLIO
Telling stories on and off stage has always been my passion. At the age of 15, my sister and I cofounded a non-profit youth theatre company where I was able to gain experience directing and choreographing. Through that little company, I realized not only that I loved to direct, but that I was actually pretty good at it. As our company gained momentum, other artists in my home town of St. Louis asked me to collaborate with them. I took on new and exciting creative positions, directing, assisting, and choreographing shows around the St. Louis Metro area! I had become one of the youngest working director/choreographers in STL before I could operate a motor vehicle.
Through my physical theatre training in Viewpoints, Laban and Suzuki theatre practices, I was able to refine my directing style. Staging stories (particularly ones with isolated protagonists and fully immersing an audience in that isolation) is some of the most rewarding work I’ve been able to be a part of. Take a peak at some of that work below!
